The National Economic Council has slashed the development budget by Tk 300 billion
The education sector could receive 15.86 percent of the budget – the second largest outlay – while health could get 11.84 percent, the third largest
FY2025-26 shows the lowest ADP implementation rate since 2004-05

The ADP has been revised, cutting the allocation for healthcare by 73 percent and secondary and higher education by 55 percent
He says the challenges are administrative in nature, adding that they have been battling these issues from the beginning
Between July and October, Tk 198.78 billion was spent under the ADP, compared with Tk 219.78 billion in the same period last fiscal year
Spending is typically slow in the early months of the fiscal year and gains pace later on
