Dhaka, Aug 14 (BDNEWS) – Teletalk would enhance the network capacity by increasing the number of PCM (pulse code modulation) with other private mobile operators within a week to ensure smooth access to all mobile phones.
This was the outcome of a meeting organised at the Teletalk office Sunday.
Teletalk officials said that at least 30 subscribers could enjoy connections through a PCM.
They said that to keep the mobile communication smooth, the existing low-interconnection capacity is not enough. The repeated complaints of the 80 per cent Teletalk subscribers implied that they could not reach others during 8pm to 2pm due to network traffic congestion, they added.
Most complaints went against the GrameenPhone (GP) and AKTEL as their subscribers are huge, they added.
Teletalk sources said, under the technical set up, only 270 subscribers of Teletalk and GP could enjoy connections at a time, while the number between Teletalk and CITYCELL will be 270, and that with AKTEL 150 and Banglalink 90 respectively.
However, the GP is leading the mobile phone operation with more than three million subscribers, followed by AKTEL with two million, Banglalink 500,000, CITYCELL 375,000 and Teletalk 85,000 subscribers.
Regarding the customer care, sources said that subscribers would also enjoy free service to reach the Teletalk customer care.
