Apple has announced that Siri AI, its long-anticipated redesign of the digital assistant, will roll out in five additional languages from October.
Siri AI is now available in English through the iOS 27 and iPadOS 27 betas, and will reach English-speaking users more broadly once Apple releases those updates publicly on Sept 14, Engadget reports.
During its fall iPhone event, Apple said Siri AI would be available to French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish speakers sometime next month, per the tech outlet.
The company also confirmed Siri AI would come with daily usage limits for prompts requiring its cloud compute AI models.
Apple said its iCloud+ plans would offer expanded usage limits, though further details are yet to be shared.
Using Siri AI requires a fairly recent iPhone, with support going back only as far as the 2023 iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max.
On newer models, starting with the iPhone 17 Pro, 17 Pro Max and iPhone Air, more powerful on-device models will enable sharper speech recognition and dictation, Engadget said.
