A Letter to our Readers

Hey Readers,

Welcome to Stripe. You're probably wondering what Stripe is and why we call it Stripe in the first place. The answers are kind of the same.

This is a stripe. It's bold and different from its surroundings in colour, form, or texture.

Blue stripes, pink stripes, zebra stripes – each one's different.

So what makes a stripe a stripe?

A stripe doesn't strive to differentiate itself from its surroundings. The difference itself could be subtle. The point is, every stripe is continuous. A stripe has purpose. A sense of direction.

This, in essence, embodies our mission as a website, as well as the people we're catering to – the youth of the nation. We're an online platform for entertainment, youth culture, bold voices, and lifestyle choices.

We use the word platform very deliberately. Here at Stripe, you're on the spot. We want you informed, aware, and entertained: your voice and opinions, as opposed to us being the authoritative voice.

Our sections are Entertainment, Food, Polka, and YoungBlood. YoungBlood is a safe place for healthy rapport to raise your voice and share your opinions. At Polka, we cover photo-stories, life-hacks, and fashion advice that's actually useful. Life ain't fair so live it with flair. Food and Entertainment are pretty self-explanatory. But hey, labels are always a little vague in a sense.
