The World Cup Round of 32 has concluded with Ghana's defeat to Colombia, completing the last-16 line-up.

The biggest upset came as Paraguay knocked out four-time winner Germany in a penalty shootout to book a place in the next round, while three-time finalists the Netherlands were also eliminated on penalties by Morocco.

Defending champions Argentina needed extra time to edge past Cape Verde, while Portugal battled past Croatia.

Brazil came from behind to beat Japan, and England also recovered from a deficit to squeeze past DR Congo.

Belgium produced the comeback of the round, overturning a 2-0 deficit after the 85th minute to beat Senegal 3-2.

Colombia defeated Ghana to become the fourth South American side in the last 16.

France thrashed Sweden, Spain eased past Austria, and the United States beat Bosnia and Herzegovina despite playing much of the match with 10 men.

Canada, Norway, Egypt and Switzerland also recorded historic victories.
