BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has returned home after undergoing some medical tests at Evercare Hospital in Dhaka
She arrived at her Gulshan residence “Feroza” at 12:05am on Thursday.
Her personal physician AZM Zahid Hossain said a number of tests were carried out based on the advice of the medical board.
After that, the board decided she would continue receiving treatment at home.
“The board is hopeful her condition will improve under home-based care,” he added.
The BNP chief had reached the hospital at 6:50pm on Wednesday for the scheduled examinations.
She returned to Bangladesh on May 6 after receiving advanced treatment in London.
During her stay, she underwent treatment at the London Clinic and spent time at the home of her son, BNP’s Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman.
Since her return to Dhaka, a medical board led by Evercare cardiologist Shahabuddin Talukder has been overseeing her treatment at her residence.
Before flying to London, the former prime minister last visited Evercare Hospital on Sept 12, 2024.
