BNP candidate SM Jahangir has won the Dhaka‑18 constituency, covering Uttara, Turag, Khilkhet, Dakshinkhan, Uttar Khan and the airport area, by a margin of 33,000 votes.

Jahangir received 144,715 votes, while his closest rival from the National Citizen Party secured 111,297.

The seat had drawn attention after Nagorik Oikko leader Mahmudur Rahman Manna withdrew from the race four days before polling.

Contesting with the Kettle symbol, he eventually received only 350 votes.
