BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman has won the Dhaka‑17 constituency by a margin of 4,399 votes.

Tarique secured 72,699 votes, according to results signed by the returning officer early Friday.

His closest rival, Jamaat‑e‑Islami’s SM Khaliduzzaman, received 68,300.

The constituency has 333,813 registered voters, with turnout recorded at 44.3 percent.

Earlier, Tarique won Bogura‑6 (Sadar) by a landslide, securing 216,284 votes against Jamaat’s Abidur Rahman Sohel, who polled 97,626.

The margin of victory there was 118,658 votes.
