El-Sayed’s historic win sparks jubilation in Michigan

Abdul El-Sayed has made history in Michigan, securing a place in the US Senate as the first Muslim ever elected to the chamber. At an election-night gathering in Detroit on Nov 4, he savoured the landmark victory alongside his wife, Sarah Jukaku, while supporters outside the venue erupted in celebration.
