The fire that broke out at Munsur Khan Plaza in Old Dhaka’s Chawkbazar on Monday evening was brought under control by the Fire Service on the morning of Tuesday, Oct 13, 2026. However, smoke was still seen rising from the scene of the blaze on Tuesday afternoon. Due to the intensity of the fire and subsequent safety risks, businesses and shops in the Chhota Katara area of Chawkbazar have been temporarily closed.
