Abu Taher appointed acting editor of Bangladesh Pratidin

The daily is a concern of the Bashundhara Group-owned East West Media Group

Abu Taher, the executive editor of the daily Bangladesh Pratidin, has been appointed to the post of acting editor of the media outlet.

The promotion was announced in a memo from the Bashundhara Group-owned East West Media Group.

The office order says that his appointment will take effect from Aug 21 and requests the support of the staff in fulfilling his duties.

The current editor of Bangladesh Pratidin is Naem Nizam.

Asked about the appointment, a senior Bashundhara Group official said:

“As our current editor is inactive, his duties have been given to another person. That is why the appointment has been made.”
