Bangladesh has recorded 702 dengue hospitalisations in a 24-hour count, with no deaths reported from the mosquito-borne disease.
Total admissions this year have climbed to 28,090, with 77 deaths logged so far, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said on Saturday.
Of the day's new patients, 123 were admitted to hospitals under Dhaka North City Corporation, 88 under Dhaka South and 47 elsewhere in Dhaka Division.
Among other divisions, Barishal recorded 115 admissions, Chattogram 107, Khulna 114, Mymensingh 38, Rajshahi 55 and Rangpur 15.
The health directorate has tracked dengue hospitalisations and deaths since 2000.
The disease peaked in 2023, when 321,179 people were hospitalised and 1,705 died, the highest figures on record.
Last year saw more than 400 dengue deaths, with around 102,000 cases confirmed.
