Towhid Hridoy has led Bangladesh to 274 against Australia in the first innings of the third One-Day International (ODI) in Mirpur.
With support from wicketkeeper Litton Das (58*) and Mossadek Hossain (56*), Hridoy played a responsible innings to steer the Tigers to a good score on a tough pitch.
Pacer Xavier Bartlett (2-42) started the innings by bowling out opener Soumya Sarkar for 2. Off-spinner Matt Renshaw piled on the pressure by snapping up the wickets of Tanzid Hasan (19) and Najmul Hossain Shanto (24), to leave Bangladesh at 61-3 in the 15th over.
But Litton and Hridoy (83) fought back, posting 95 runs for the fourth wicket before Litton was forced to retire hurt due to an injury. Hridoy continued to battle away alongside Mosaddek, posting 90 runs for the fifth-wicket stand before he mis-hit it to deep midwicket.
Litton returned to the crease to see out the innings.
Bangladesh had won the toss and chosen to bat on Sunday.
A victory would hand the Tigers a series whitewash against Australia.
