Pakistan are all set to host a tri-nation series later this year featuring Afghanistan and Sri Lanka as part of its preparations for the upcoming T20 World Cup.
The 10th edition of the T20 World Cup will kick off in India and Sri Lanka next February. Before that Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka will take part in a tri-nation series in November.
Currently, Pakistan and Afghanistan are playing a tri-nation T20 series in the UAE to prepare for the upcoming Asia Cup where the two sides are set to clash in the final on Sunday.
It will be Pakistan’s first time hosting a tri-nation T20 series on their home soil. The series will be played from Nov 17 to Nov 29.
The tournament will kick off in Rawalpindi with Pakistan facing Afghanistan while Afghanistan will meet Sri Lanka at the same venue in the next match.
The remaining matches of the series will be played at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium. Pakistan will take on Sri Lanka on Nov 22 while they will clash with the Afghans for a second meeting the following day.
The Group stage will conclude with a Sri Lanka–Afghanistan clash on Nov 25 while the Pakistan–Sri Lanka match will be played on Nov 27.
Before the tri-series, Pakistan will play a full series against the South Africans in October and November featuring two Tests, three ODIs and three T20Is.
