DU suspends classes, exams amid earthquake panic

The revised date will be announced later, authorities say

Dhaka University administration has announced the suspension of all classes and exams scheduled for Nov 23 following a third earthquake in the country, which left some students injured and spread panic among the rest.

A notice from Acting Controller of Examinations Himadri Shekhar Chakraborty on Saturday said, “Due to injuries to some students and widespread panic among teachers and students caused by the earthquake, all internal classes and exams at Dhaka University have been postponed for tomorrow [Saturday], Nov 23.

The revised schedule for the postponed exams will be announced in due course, the notice added.
