The authorities are now looking for those who had assaulted the Kabi Sufia Kamal Hall BCL president.

Proctor AKM Golam Rabbani, who had announced Isha’s temporary expulsion in the wee hours of Apr 11, told bdnews24.com about the latest decision following an investigation on Wednesday.

He said a five-member investigation committee found false the allegation that Isha had cut off another student’s tendon.

Proctor Rabbani said the university’s disciplinary body took the decision on withdrawal of Isha’s expulsion at a meeting chaired by Vice-Chancellor Md Akhtaruzzaman.

After the allegation of torture on several quota reform protesters had surfaced against Isha, the ruling Awami League’s student affiliate also expelled her, but later withdrew the decision when a group of former leaders stood by her side.

The organisation has also expelled 24 others, including the alleged victim of Isha’s torture hall vice-president Morsheda Khanam, for assaulting Isha.
Isha told bdnews24.com on Wednesday evening over phone she was yet to get the papers on the withdrawal of her expulsion.
“You’ve seen how they harassed me,” said Isha before breaking into a sob.
Proctor Rabbani said they were still investigating the assault on Isha.
“We will take steps in accordance with the university rules against  those involved in the incident,” he said.
