Presidency University has launched its Admission Fest for Summer 2026, marking the start of its admission campaign for the upcoming academic session.
The inauguration ceremony was held at the university campus at 11am on Wednesday, creating a festive environment for prospective students, the university said in a media statement.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Abdul Mannan Chowdhury formally opened the event by cutting the ribbon.
As part of the initiative, the university is offering a 75 percent waiver on admission fees and a 10 percent tuition fee scholarship.
Merit-based scholarships of up to 100 percent will also be available for eligible students.
New students will receive complimentary merchandise, including a university bag, T-shirt and a gift box, the statement read.
During the month-long event, prospective students will be provided with information services, as well as academic and career counselling to support their higher education choices.
The university said it has focused on research and career-oriented learning over the past two decades, with facilities including digital classrooms, laboratories, internet access, student spaces and a library aimed at preparing graduates for local and international careers.
