Bangladesh Honda Private Limited has organised the Honda Futsal League (HFL) 2025.
The match took place on Wednesday at the Carnival Hall of the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre.
This year’s tournament highlights the Honda Sports Challenge themes of joy, growth, and connected, with 32 teams taking part.
Bangladesh national football team captain Jamal Bhuiyan attended as chief guest.
Moto Honda da Amazônia Ltda presented Jamal with a Brazilian jersey signed by Neymar Jr. The gift was handed over by Susumu Morisawa, managing director and CEO of Bangladesh Honda, and Shah Muhammad Ashequr Rahman, chief marketing officer (CMO).
Inspired by renewed interest in football nationally, Bangladesh Honda said the initiative aims to encourage young people to engage with the sport at international standards.
Representatives of Moto Honda da Amazônia joined online to support the Bangladesh national team and local fans.
Speaking at the event, Jamal said: “I am truly delighted to be part of this vibrant and grand program, and I am deeply honored to receive this special token of love from Brazil, a jersey autographed by the world-renowned football icon Neymar Jr.”
“Such an initiative is not only a significant step forward for football in Bangladesh but also an inspiring effort that will positively influence and motivate the youth of our country,” he added.
CMO Ashequr said, “As Bangladesh Honda, we remain committed to customer satisfaction by continuously fulfilling the evolving needs of our riders. The Honda Futsal League celebrates the shared spirit of passion, performance, and sportsmanship that unites the worlds of motorcycles and football, especially as we rejoice in Bangladesh’s recent victory.”
CEO Morisawa added, “This historic event is not only significant for the organisers but also a source of immense pride for football fans across the country.”
