Manikganj, July 10 (BDNEWS) – Police Sunday arrested two people on charge of collecting extortion in the name of top terror Kala Jahangir in Manikganj district.
The arrested were identified as Faruq and Nasir.
According to police sources, the criminals phoned Shamsul Islam, an engineer of Water Development Board claiming themselves accomplices of notorious Kala Jahangir and demanded Tk 50,000 as toll.
Being informed, police nabbed them red-handed with Tk 25,000.
A case was filed in this connection.
