Bangladesh Road Transport Workers’ Federation (BRTWF) President Md Musa made the latest announcement at a protest rally in the port city’s Central Shaheed Minar on Friday afternoon.
“The 36-hour transport strike will begin from 6am on Aug 26 until 6pm Aug 27 if Islam is not returned untouched,” he said.
Musa said they would begin an indefinite strike from Aug 30 if Islam’s whereabouts were not known by that time.
