Dhaka, Feb 26 (BDNEWS) - Different student bodies Saturday demanded cancellation of 25th BCS general mathematics and science tests and resignation of the chairman of the Public Service Commission as the question papers have leaked out.
An alliance of six opposition backed student bodies comprising Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL)- the student front of main opposition Awami League- and five other left leaning student organisations, demanded cancellation of the tests at a rally at the foot of Aparajeyo Bangla Saturday morning.
They also demanded the resignation of PSC chairman Prof ZN Tahmida Begum. The leaders said that BCS question papers have been leaked out several times since Prof Tahmida took office.
BCL president Liakat Sikder said, "BNP-Jamaat alliance government has been leaking BCS question papers to ensure appointment of cadres in the administration."
Several hundred students brought out a procession on the Dhaka University campus on the same demand.
