An endangered eagle was rescued at Magura’s Mohammadpur Upazila.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md Shahin Hossain rescued the bird from Noahata Union on Thursday afternoon.
Dhaka-based bird watcher Nazimuddin Khan Prince identified the bird as a juvenile grey-headed fish eagle.
"The feathers indicate that the bird is juvenile," he said after seeing the photo on bdnews24.com.
UNO Hossain was going to Noahata at around 4pm while when he saw a crowd in front of a school at Khard Phulbarhi.
He saw a group of children mess around with the rare bird whose feet had been tied. The UNO along with local people came to the aid of the bird.
The juvenile eagle is currently at the Upazila Livestock Office where it is being treated.
The eagle is unable to fly due to some sort of injury. UNO Hossain said it will be freed as soon as it recovers.
According to the UNO, the bird is four feet long with its wings spread. It has grey feathers with white stripes.
Upazila’s Livestock Officer Dr Golam Mustafa said, “These rare preying eagles that live on fishes from marshlands.”
He added the particular species is on the verge of extinction due to scarcity of food and proper habitation.
