Dhaka, Mar 26 (bdnews24.com) — Rapid Action Battalion director general has urged the RAB members to be cautious that no innocent person is harassed or harmed.
Mohammad Mokhlesur Rahman said this at a special meeting with RAB officers on Saturday at RAB headquarters in Uttara.
RAB was born on Mar 26, 2004.
RAB DG started the 7th foundation day programme on Saturday by hoisting the national flag at 7:45am at the elite force's headquarters.
Mokhlesur also urged RAB personnel to be more dynamic and effective while performing as they had been ever since the inception of the force.
"Everybody (RAB personnel) has to be dutiful in preventing crime and terrorism staying beyond vengeance and personal interest," the DG said.
"RAB has been capable of attaining the love and confidence of people in developing law and order situation by conducting fast and particular information base operations," Mokhlesur mentioned.
Prayer was also offered on the occasion for the eternal peace of the martyrs of the Liberation War and deceased RAB members at the start of the special meeting.
Additional director general (operations) of the force Col A F M Jahangir Alam, additional director general (Admin) Aftab Uddin Ahmed and wings directors of RAB headquarters were also present at the meeting.
