Proloy Joarder, Molla Nazrul, 26 other SPs transferred in police shake-up

The workplaces of Proloy Kumar Joarder and Molla Nazrul Islam have changed as the government has transferred 28 superintendents of police in a major shake-up.

The home ministry issued the transfer order on Monday.

Joarder, known to be an influential officer at Police Headquarters, has been transferred to Dhaka Metropolitan Police as deputy commissioner.

Joypurhat Superintendent of Police Molla Nazrul has been made special superintendent of Criminal Investigation Department in Dhaka.

He was also known to be influential when he had been in Dhaka's Detective Branch.

The other transferred officers were posted in different departments, including Dhaka, Chittagong and Sylhet metropolitan police, and Gopalganj, Pabna, Rajbarhi, Magura, Chuadanga, Jhalakathi and Sherpur districts.
