Narayanganj DC removed

Narayanganj's deputy commissioner (DC) Manoj Kanti Baral has been removed after eight people, including a city corporation councillor were abducted within two weeks in the district.

According to a public administration ministry order on Wednsday, Barla has been made a joint secretary of shipping ministry.

Meanwhile, Tangail's DC Md Anisur Rahman has been asked to join as Narayanganj DC while public administration ministry's deputy secretary Md Mahbub Hossain has been asked to replace Rahman.

On Tuesday, the district’s Superintendent of Police (SP) Syed Nurul Islam, RAB-11 commanding officer (CO) Tarek Sayeed Mahmud and OC of Fatulla Police Station Aktar Hossain were removed.
