Dhaka, June 2 (BDNEWS) – Bangladesh government has decided to appoint AB Manjoor Rahim, currently the ambassador of Bangladesh to the Union of Myanmar as the ambassador to Germany.
AB Manjoor Rahim, a career diplomat of the 1979 batch of the BCS (Foreign Affairs) cadre had his education in the University of Dhaka with B.A. (Honours) and M.A. in History, according to a press release.
In the course of his diplomatic career he served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dhaka and the Bangladesh Missions in Rome, Seoul, Stockholm and Jeddah and also the Bangladesh Permanent Mission in New York in various capacities.
He has been serving as the ambassador of Bangladesh to Myanmar since September 2002.
