Jainul Abedin new Rajuk chairman

GM Jainul Abedin Bhuiyan, an additional secretary on post-retirement leave, has been appointed the new chairman of Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (Rajuk) on a year’s contract.

He replaces Engineer Nurul Huda with effect from April 21, a public administration ministry order said on Tuesday.

Nurul Huda was appointed Rajuk chairman on a two-year contract on Mar 30, 2009, with subsequent renewals that ended on Mar 23.

In a separate order, M Shefaq Ahmed was made the chairman of the Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority for three years.
