India's Home Ministry has alerted the country's Eastern states of Meghalaya and West Bengal to watch out for the Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) radicals who were freed in the daring Sunday ambush in Mymensingh.

"These states have been put on alert as our intelligence suspects they may cross over. Meghalaya is near Mymensingh, so they may try entry from there and then head for West Bengal where they have some allies," said a Home Ministry official.
But he was not willing to be named.
He said Indian border guards and police must make every possible effort to nab these radicals if they try crossing into the country from Bangladesh.
One of three JMB radicals who escaped was caught by locals within a few hours of the daring ambush at Trishal in Mymensingh.
