Govt reshuffles nine DIG-level police posts

Nine additional deputy inspectors who were promoted to the rank of deputy inspector general (DIG) prior to the national election have been assigned to new roles.

Home Ministry Public Security Division Police-1 subdivision issued the order for transfer in a notification on Sunday. 

Md Moinul Islam, who has been serving as a director of RAB, has been transferred to the position of DIG of Police Training Centre and sent to Tangail.

Chattogram Range Additional DIG SM Rokon Uddin has been sent to Noakhali Police Training Centre as DIG.

Rajshahi Range Additional DIG Md Masudur Rahman has been transferred to Khulna Police Training Centre as DIG.

Additional DIG Md Nazrul Islam has been transferred from the Police Telecom and Information Management and made the DIG of Dhaka’s Traffic and Driving School.

Chattogram Metropolitan Police Additional Commissioner Kusum Dewan has been sent to Rangpur as the DIG of Rangpur Police Training Centre.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police Joint Police Commissioner Mofiz Uddin Ahmed has been given the responsibilities of additional commissioner of DMP.

DMP Joint Commissioner Imtiaz Ahmed has been given the position of deputy inspector general of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

The Police Bureau of Investigation’s Additional DIG Md Mainul Hasan has been given the responsibility of CID's DIG.

Dhaka Range Additional DIG Md Abu Kalam Siddique has been transferred to the Police Special Branch as DIG by the government.
