Dhaka, Jun 5 (bdnews24.com) – Dhaka University Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Harun-or-Rashid and Treasurer Dr Mijanur Rahman have resigned from their posts.
They called on Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid on Tuesday and handed over their resignation letters meant for Vice Chancellor Prof A A M S Arefin Siddique.
Prof Rashid told bdnews24.com that he has quit for personal reasons.
"I have resigned showing personal reason to give more time to education and research."
Treasurer Mijanur could not be reached for his comments immediately.
They are members of ruling Awami League supporter Blue Panel of teachers. They have been criticised by pro-Awami League teachers since the pro-BNP-Jamaat-e-Islami White Panel's landslide victory in recent voting.
