Dhaka Metropolitan Police Commissioner Habibur Rahman has warned students involved in protests for quota reforms that any act in breach of law and order will not be allowed.
He made these remarks during an event organised by the Crime Reporters Association of Bangladesh, or CRAB, on Friday afternoon at the Nasrul Hamid Auditorium of the Dhaka Reporters Unity.
The event marked the inauguration of the 'Walton-CRAB Sports Festival 2024 and Fruit Festival'.
Social Welfare Minister Dipu Moni and the commissioner joined the event virtually.
The Supreme Court's Appellate Division has frozen the High Court's ruling regarding the quota system, said the DMP chief.
"There is an obligation to comply with court orders, and I believe everyone should do so," he added.
