Meghna Group of Industries (MGI), one of Bangladesh’s largest and most diversified conglomerates, has been named a Prestigious Brand of Asia 2025-26 by Brand Advertising Research & Consulting Pvt. Ltd. (BARC Asia).

At the ceremony in Dubai, MGI Chairman and Managing Director Mostafa Kamal was honoured as an Influential Business Leader in Asia, a media statement read on Thursday.

The recognition was determined through an independent research process and an expert jury panel, acknowledging MGI’s sustained commitment to innovation, customer trust and market leadership at home and abroad.

With more than five decades of operations and over 54 industrial units spanning FMCG, building materials, energy, hospitality and financial services, MGI says it serves nearly one in every two households in Bangladesh.

The leadership award reflects Kamal’s role in steering MGI into a regional industrial force with an expanding global footprint, with interests across manufacturing, infrastructure, banking and media.

The Prestigious Brands of Asia Awards recognise organisations and leaders that have set industry benchmarks through legacy, sustainability and transformative economic contributions.

MGI Head of Chartering Remzi Issever received the awards on behalf of the company and its chairman at the Dubai ceremony.
