The Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) has warned of possible flooding in the Lalmonirhat, Nilphamari, Rangpur, and Kurigram districts due to heavy rainfall.

In a special bulletin on Sunday, the FFWC said that heavy rainfall is likely to occur both within the country and in upstream regions across the border over the next 24 hours or so.

As a result, the water levels of the Teesta, Dharla, and Dudhkumar rivers may rise above the danger level.

The bulletin added that the situation could lead to flooding in low-lying areas of Lalmonirhat, Nilphamari, Rangpur, and Kurigram.
