BUP student 'rape': Key suspect Sohel to be interrogated for 3 days

Police have yet to arrest one of the suspects

Police have secured three days to question Sohel Rosario, the prime suspect in the case over alleged rape of a Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) student in Savar.

Dhaka Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate AKM Mohiuddin issued this order on Monday after hearing the petition from the investigating officer.

Savar Model Police Station Sub-Inspector Abdul Wahab, the investigating officer, produced him before the court, requesting a seven-day remand.

Sohel had no lawyer representing him. The court asked for his statement.
