Judge ABM Nizamul Haque’s speedy tribunal heard the testimonies of victim’s father. Earlier, on September 12, the court heard statements of Biswajit’s brother Uttam Kumar Das.
With Sunday’s hearing a total of 30 witnesses, out of 60, have given their statements.
On December 9, 2012, Biswajit was hacked to death allegedly by activists of Jagannath University unit of Bangladesh Chhatra League, the student affiliate of the ruling Awami League, mistaking him for a pro-shutdown opposition activist.
The court has set September 17 for the next day for the hearing, public prosecutor SM Rafiqul Islam told bdnews24.com.
Earlier, police produced eight of the arrested accused in the court. Of them, Shakil, Nahid, Emdad and Shaon pleaded guilty before the judge.
