The Public Service Commission (PSC) has published the results of the written examination for the 50th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) recruitment.
The PSC announced on Thursday that 6,165 candidates have passed the written test.
PSC Public Relations Officer SM Matiur Rahman confirmed the results to bdnews24.com
The recruitment aims to fill 2,150 cadre and non-cadre posts, including 1,755 cadre positions.
The largest intake will be in the health cadre with 650 posts, followed by 200 in the administration cadre, 185 in education and 117 in the police cadre.
The PSC published the circular on Nov 26 last year. Applications opened on Dec 4 and closed on Dec 31.
The preliminary exam was held on Jan 30, with results published on Feb 10, when 12,385 candidates qualified for the written stage, which began on Apr 9.
The commission has said it plans to complete the entire recruitment process within a year.
According to the PSC calendar, viva exams will begin on Aug 10, with the final results scheduled for Nov 25.
