AKM Majibur Rahman Bhuiyan new ambassdor to Iran

The government has decided to appoint AKM Majibur Rahman Bhuiyan as the next Ambassador of Bangladesh to Iran.

He is currently serving as a director general in the Foreign Ministry,

 

Bhuiyan, a career diplomat, belongs to the 1986 batch of BCS (Foreign Affairs) cadre.

He served in Bangladesh embassies in New Delhi, Tehran, Tokyo and Thimphu in different capacities.

The foreign ministry said as a diplomat, he has "extensive experience and specialisation in bilateral and multi-lateral issues".

He has completed Foreign Service Program of the Oxford University and attended other training programmes.
