While government offices will remain closed for Eid-ul-Azha holidays, import and export activities will continue at all customs houses, including Chittagong Port.
The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has given directives to authorities to keep customs houses and excise stations open during the Eid holidays and weekends, aside from Eid day.
As a result, there is an opportunity for import and export activities on the other days of the holiday between May 25 and May 31.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification on Thursday regarding a seven-day holiday from May 25 to May 31 to celebrate Eid-ul-Azha.
The notification said that all government, semi-government, autonomous, semi-autonomous and private offices across the country will be closed from May 25 to May 31 on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha. However, offices will be open on Saturday, May 23, and Sunday, May 24.
