Students and general people have stormed to take control of Ganabhaban, the official residence of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, on the second day of a non-cooperation movement called by the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement demanding the fall of the government.

They broke through the security forces' barricades and entered Ganabhaban during the 'March to Dhaka' programme around 3pm.

Since then, Ganabhaban has been occupied by students, young children, and people from various professions across the country.

Hundreds of thousands have congregated both inside and outside Ganabhaban.

People, entering on foot, by rickshaw, and motorcycle, were seen taking furniture from Gonobhaban.

The public there celebrated their victory shouting various slogans like 'fake', 'fake', and 'she has fled', 'she has fled'.

Before this, Hasina was reported to have resigned and departed the country.

Upon hearing this news, people from all walks of life were seen bursting into celebration in the streets.
