The gas supply to Dhaka’s Kuril area will be suspended for 13 hours for work on MRT Line-1 of the metro rail.

The gas supply will be shut down from 10am on Thursday, according to a press release from the Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company.

Gas supply to all categories of customers at the Grameenphone Head Office, North-South University, Unique Hotel, US Embassy, Ananta Energy Resources, Pinnacle Power, Pragati CNG and Kuril Bishwa Road to Shahjatpur Subastu Tower areas will be interrupted from 10am to 11pm on Thursday to move the existing Titas Gas pipeline for the alignment of the Nadda Underground Station for the MRT Line-1, Titas said.

Low gas pressure may prevail in surrounding areas over the period, the company said.

The Titas Gas authorities sincerely apologised to customers for the temporary inconvenience.
