Four people sustain burn injuries in Narayanganj gas line explosion

A gas line explosion has left at least four people injured, three of them with severe burns, in Narayanganj.

The incident occurred at Kazipara Manju Textile in Rupganj Upazila on Thursday morning.

The victims were identified as Md Kabir, 45, Saiful Islam, 32, Md Hannan, 52 and Saiful, 28.

They were all admitted to the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery in Dhaka.

One of the victims sustained 2 percent burns on his body, a doctor said.

Others suffered burns in their respiratory tracts and are in critical condition, they added.

Of the others, one sustained burns on 53 percent of his body, another 40 percent and the last 34 percent.

Two of the victims worked as security guards, according to their family members.
