Former MP Kabirul Haque Mukti arrested in Dhaka

Mukti faces several cases in Narail and Dhaka related to incidents during the anti-discrimination movement

Police have arrested Kabirul Haque Mukti, former Awami League MP from Narail-1, in a car showroom in Niketan, Dhaka.

Gulshan Police chief Hafizur Rahman confirmed the arrest but did not specify which case Mukti was arrested under.

Mukti faces charges in multiple cases in Narail and Dhaka related to incidents during the anti-discrimination movement.

Mukti, elected as an independent candidate in 2008, later won parliamentary seats under the Awami League’s banner.
