The High Court has ordered eight people acquitted in a two-decade-old Kishoreganj murder case to surrender before the authorities.
It also issued a rule asking why the trial court’s verdict acquitting the accused should not be scrapped.
The bench of Justice Md Atowar Rahman and Justice Bishwajit Debnath passed the order Tuesday following a preliminary hearing of a revision petition filed by Hawa Akter, sister of the victim identified only as Zaman.
Lawyer Md Mustofa Jamal Bhuiyan represented the petitioner in court.
