National Security Advisor Khalilur Rahman and Chinese Ambassador Yao Wen have held fresh talks on the Teesta River management project and a proposed bilateral hospital.
They held talks at the Chief Advisor’s Office on Sunday.
The meeting was held in a “cordial and constructive” atmosphere, with both sides reaffirming the longstanding friendship and development cooperation between Bangladesh and China, the CAO said.
The ambassador said he would visit the Teesta River Comprehensive Management Project site and reiterated China’s commitment to completing the ongoing technical assessment quickly.
The hospital project was also highlighted as an important initiative for bilateral cooperation in the health sector.
Yao Wen reaffirmed his government’s continued support for Bangladesh’s democratic transition and conveyed best wishes for the successful conduct of the national elections.
Both sides expressed satisfaction with the positive momentum in bilateral relations and pledged to further strengthen cooperation for mutual benefit.
