The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has foiled an alleged attempt by India's Border Security Force (BSF) to push eight people into Bangladesh through the Kushtia border.

Personnel from the Border Security Force's (BSF) Char Meghna camp under its 146 Battalion allegedly tried to force the group across the border near pillar 152/1-S, close to the Joypur Border Outpost (BOP), around 5:10am on Friday, said Lt Col Rashed Kamal Rony, commanding officer of BGB Kushtia Battalion-47.
