The Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) has ordered all bus counters at Sayedabad Bus Terminal to relocate inside the terminal by Jul 15.

Administrator Md Abdus Salam issued the directive while inspecting the terminal and overseeing an eviction drive on Thursday.

He ordered regular drives against illegal occupation, congestion and safety risks, while stressing cleanliness and discipline.

Four control rooms -- two for entry and two for exit -- will regulate traffic.

Salam said Sayedabad will remain a city bus terminal, with inter-district services shifting to Kanchpur and Gulistan operations moving to Keraniganj.

He expects visible transport improvements within four months.

Later, authorities launched an 880m road project in Maniknagar, targeting completion by December.
