Two special assistants to Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus have visited Syed Shadid Nasif, a student of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), who was injured during the police crackdown on the engineering students’ protest.
According to the chief advisor’s press wing, the visit took place on Friday at Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where Sheikh Moinuddin and Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb met the student’s family and offered condolences.
The delegation expressed regret over the incident, noting that this marks the first time the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) chief has formally conveyed condolences in such a case.
They assured the family of full medical support throughout the treatment process.
Doctors cited by the press wing said Shadid has undergone successful surgery and is currently in stable condition.
