Inqilab Moncho activists occupy Shahbagh after clashes with police during protest march

The group marches from Raju Sculpture and takes up position at Shahbagh around 5:15pm

Inqilab Moncho activists have blocked Dhaka’s Shahbagh intersection after clashing with police.

Around 5:15pm on Friday, they marched from the Raju Sculpture on the Dhaka University campus and staged a sit-in at the intersection.

Around 4pm, clashes erupted when the group set out towards the chief advisor’s official residence, demanding justice for the killing of Sharif Osman bin Hadi.

Several people, including Member Secretary Abdullah Al Jaber, were injured. They received treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
