After serving jail terms in India for illegal entry, three Bangladeshi women have returned home through Benapole in Jashore.
Indian immigration and Border Security Force (BSF) personnel handed them over to Benapole immigration officials and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members through the Haridaspur checkpost on Wednesday, said Saifur Rahman, chief of the Benapole International Checkpost Immigration Police.
The trio returned under special travel permits after completing their sentences, immigration police said.
They had crossed into India illegally after allegedly falling prey to brokers who promised them better lives.
