The NBR will look into the allegation in such a way that it has no impact on the 11th parliamentary election, he said.

The anti-graft watchdog had sent a letter to Kamal Hossain, who is also the president of Gano Forum, asking him to answer question on tax evasion on Nov 19.

We are working on the investigation and a little time is needed, said NBR Chairman Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan at a media briefing in Dhaka on Sunday.

The NBR chairman also stated that they do not want to create any confusion by arresting him as he is involved with the opposite party ahead of Dec 30 election, but are looking into the allegation in a fair way.

Kamal Hossain is not running as a candidate but his new anti-government alliance with the BNP will compete in the election.
